Ami Shin is a Korean illustrator based in Ulsan, South Korea.

She loves traveling, and many different cultures inspire her. Since childhood, she has been mainly interested in drawing patterns and complicated and detailed things. She graduated from Cambridge School of Art in 2015 and won the WIA award 2016 with the Bologna illustration exhibition in 2020 and 2023. She has published Mice in the City: London, Mice in the City: New York, and Mice in the City: Around the World, translated into many languages. Her new book, Ian's Imaginary House, was selected as Braw's Amazing bookshelf at the Bologna book fair. Her second book 'Ian's Imaginary House, will be published around August 2024.
